Romeo and Juliet adapted by Young Soon Hue
The Nutcracker is returning to the Sacramento Ballet stage this December. Continuing its yearly tradition, the company will perform Tchaikovsky's work and fill you with holiday cheer. The show features choreography by Sacramento natives, Colby Damon, Nicole Haskins, and Julia Feldman. Also taking part in the show are local young aspiring ballet dancers, with some as young as seven years old. So come on down and support your local company and get in the Holiday spirit as you do!
Sacramento Ballet has an incredible treat in store, presenting a world premiere of the renowned Korean choreographer Young Soon Hue's stunning brand new ballet adaptation of Romeo and Juliet. set to Prokofiev's mesmerizing and timeless score, it's a compelling and sumptuous experience not to be missed!
The Sacramento Ballet is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year and is seeing in the start of its new season and the Halloween weekend with an entrancing production of Dracula, which is sure to leave you under its thrall. British choreographer Michael Pink created the piece in 1996, with the intention of staying as true to Bram Stroker's 1897 as he possibly could. The resulting work is spellbinding, dramatic, and terrifying, and will leave you thirsting for more.
