The opera was absolutely spectacular, from the timeless music, the amazing singers, the brilliant stage direction, the orchestra. We left mesmerized!

First, it’s Mozart, what’s not to like? The principal role were sung and acted with skill . Giovanni’s rich baritone was an anchor to the well sing female leads.for the opera part ,no complaints As to the orchestra; I was immediately put off by the staging. The pit was covered and ot looked as if the entire Philharmonic was stuffed into the space allowed by the surrounding ramps. The music was well performed and again. It’s Mozart But, from the lower balcony I could see too much orchestra and not enough opera. As a fan of both opera and symphony, I found my focus shifting between the visual of the instruments and the unfolding of the plot. Perhaps union rules required the entire Philharmonic to perform and they all couldn’t fit in the pit, but for me there there was too much symphony competing with the opera. Taken individually, their performances were excellent. Blended together , I was left conflicted.
